(Web Desk) - Google's YouTube is rolling out a new 'Sleep Timer' feature for its Android app, allowing users to automatically stop video playback at specified times.

This feature, reminiscent of functionalities found in music streaming apps like Spotify and podcast platforms, aims to enhance user experience by catering to those who enjoy watching videos before bed.

The 'Sleep Timer' feature, observed in the Android app version 19.25.33, enables users to set a predetermined duration for video playback.

Once set, the video will automatically pause when the specified time elapses, helping users avoid disruptions to their sleep.

Users will receive a notification, providing them with the option to either end their viewing session or adjust playback settings to continue watching, upon completion of the timer.

YouTube has introduced an 'End of Video' option, which stops playback once a video reaches its final conclusion.

This feature is designed to provide users with more control over their viewing experience, allowing for seamless transitions between videos without the need for manual intervention.

While these updates promise enhanced convenience for YouTube users, the 'Sleep Timer' feature is currently in the process of rolling out and may not be immediately available to all users.

Google intends to gradually release the feature across Android devices in the near future, ensuring broader accessibility and functionality across its platform.

The introduction of these features reflects YouTube's ongoing efforts to innovate and adapt to user preferences, offering tailored solutions that improve overall usability and satisfaction for its global audience.
